CHILD SUPPORT LAWYER

EXPERIENCED CHILD SUPPORT LAWYER

In Florida, both of the parents are responsible for providing child support to their children based upon their actual income or their ability to earn income. Usually one parent will pay a determined child support amount to the other for the care of the child(ren).  Attorney Minervino Rodriguez, Jr., is a highly experienced and respected legal advocate who has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Child Support issues and will help you navigate through this complex process.

In Florida courts, Attorneys and Judges use the Florida Child Support Guidelines, found in Florida Statute 61.30, to assist them in calculating and determining projected payments and in the preparation of the child support order.  While this may seem a simple and straightforward process, in many cases it is not; especially in complex divorce and high net worth cases.  There are various “components” to what the statute defines as “income” which require thoughtful investigation and consideration.  In addition, there are various ways provided both by the applicable statutes and judicial decisions (i.e. case law) that would allow the court to increase or decrease the amount of child support arrived at by the statutory formula.

For nearly 40 years, Attorney Rodriguez has protected the rights of clients and their children throughout Miami Dade, Broward and the surrounding South Florida areas. He has earned the respect throughout the legal and business community for his impeccable ethical standards, expert legal representation and excellent results.  Schedule a consultation with an experienced child support attorney and understand your legal options by calling 305-461-5667.  Se Habla Español.

MODIFICATION OF EXISTING CHILD SUPPORT ORDERS

You may be able to get a temporary or permanent child support modification (reduction) if your income significantly and permanently decreases. You can work with the receiving party to create an agreement that modifies the child support payments on a temporary or permanent basis. If you cannot reach an agreement, you can file for a child support modification. Minervino Rodriguez, Jr., is an experienced and compassionate child support modification lawyer who has successfully negotiated and secured child support modification agreements for his clients.

There can be serious consequences for filing inappropriate child support modification requests.  Attorney Rodriguez can evaluate the changes in your current circumstances and explain the child support modification process to you in clear and straightforward terms as it pertains to your specific situation.
